J.D. Milks maintains a growing litigation practice, with a focus on business/commercial litigation and consumer protection under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. J.D. makes it his goal to provide efficient, economical solutions to his clients, whether the business downtown or the neighbor next door. First and foremost, he brings a trial lawyer’s mentality to solving his client’s problems, which means cutting through the paper and furthering your best interests whether on the phone, in a meeting with the other side, or in the courtroom.

Although not a Texas native, as the saying goes J.D. got to Texas as soon as he could. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, J.D. takes equal pride in his Arkansas roots and his Texas home. He has made his home in Texas for over 19 years, living in Arlington, Dallas, and Fort Worth. He split his undergraduate work between the University of Texas at Arlington and Southern Methodist University, before graduating with a degree in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy.

J.D. attended law school at Texas Wesleyan School of Law in Fort Worth, where he had the opportunity to learn from some of Fort Worth’s most experienced trial attorneys and honed the skills necessary for effective client representation in the courtroom. He also learned how to translate these same skills to alternative dispute resolution procedures, such as mediation and arbitration, which have become so prevalent in today’s civil justice system.
